Resin, pigments, silicone, ceramic, sand papers, polishing paste, a mini spatula and magnifying glasses – those are the materials Olivier Hondelatte uses for his portraits of the world of Arts’ great figures of ancient or modern times.
The rings he creates contain no silver, gold or precious stones – their unique value, indeed, emanates from the mythical aura of the characters whose portrait he designs with great talent and passion.
Olivier Hondelatte was born in 1968 in Bayonne, in the South-West of France. After graduating from the school of Fine Arts in Toulouse, he was trained to graphic arts in Paris, where he worked as a graphic designer, an illustrator and a sculptor. He settled in 2012 in Berlin, where he started creating jewelry, combining sculpture and design.
